Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has suspended his Senior Special Assistant on Print Media, Mr. Wale Ajetunmobi, due to the misrepresentation of facts on his personal social media account .
Ajetunmobi’s suspension was announced in a statement by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile. According to the statement, the Sanwo-Olu-led administration frowns at any form of extra-judicial punishment and will not be a part of any such action .
The misrepresentation of facts that led to Ajetunmobi’s suspension was related to a tweet he made, claiming that arsonists who burnt down the Television Continental station in Lagos during the 2020 #EndSARS protest had been “hunted down and executed” .
