    The Musical Copyright Society Nigeria Ltd/Gte (MCSN) has set an ambitious target to establish at least 20 offices across Nigeria by 2027. This vow was made during the opening of its regional office in Ibadan, which will serve Oyo, Osun, Ondo, and Ekiti States .

    MCSN has already made significant progress, with operational offices in Abuja, Kaduna, and Kano States. Additionally, the Edo and Delta States’ agencies are expected to be upgraded to full-fledged regional offices soon.

    This expansion is a strategic move to strengthen MCSN’s presence nationwide, ensuring that music creators and owners receive fair compensation for their work. By 2027, MCSN aims to have a robust network of offices, promoting copyright protection and supporting the growth of Nigeria’s music industry.

    The Musical Copyright Society Nigeria (MCSN) has officially launched its Ibadan office, located on Adamasigba road, with an intensive training session for its newly recruited staff. The training program, led by CEO Mr. Mayo Ayilaran and other experts in copyright administration, aims to equip the new staff with comprehensive knowledge of copyright administration, focusing on licensing and enforcement.

    With the Ibadan office now operational, businesses in the region, such as hoteliers and broadcasters, will no longer need to travel to Lagos to obtain music licenses. This development is expected to boost convenience and efficiency for MCSN’s clients in the region.

    The CEO of MCSN, Mr. Mayo Ayilaran, stated that the society’s goal is to establish a strong presence across Nigeria by opening at least 20 offices nationwide before 2027.
