The National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) has appointed Kamoru Ogunlana as the new Clerk to the National Assembly, following the approved retirement of Sani Magaji Tambuwal. Ogunlana’s appointment was confirmed in a letter signed by NASC Executive Chairman, Engr. Ahmed Amshi, and will take effect from February 2, 2025.
As the next most senior officer and substantive Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly, Ogunlana is well-positioned to take on this new role. The NASC has expressed trust in his dedication and administrative skills, urging him to work diligently to justify this trust.
In the meantime, Ogunlana will oversee the office and work closely with Tambuwal to ensure a smooth transition until he takes over as the substantive Clerk on February 2, 2025.
