NDLEA Arrests 3, Recovers N2.6bn Worth of Drugs in Jigawa

  • Arrests and Seizures: The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested three suspects and recovered 195.300kg of illicit drugs worth N2.6 billion in Jigawa.

The NDLEA’s Jigawa Command conducted intelligence operations in Gumel and Ungoggo local governments, leading to the arrests and seizures. The agency recovered a Toyota Sienna and an 18-seater Toyota bus used to transport the drugs. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects used specific areas in Jigawa as distribution points. The NDLEA’s efforts have been praised by the Jigawa State Drug Abuse Control Committee.
