Dr. Nsikak Akpan, a Nigerian academic, has secured approval from Guinness World Records to embark on an unprecedented 150-hour marathon lecture. Akpan aims to surpass the current record held by Indian Professor Arvin Mishra, who delivered a 139-hour, 52-minute, and 42-second lecture in 2014.
Scheduled for September 23-30 at Foreign Links College, Osun State, the lecture will focus on “Relationships between Man’s Environment and Health.” A graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Dr. Akpan seeks to contribute to the academic community and raise awareness about environmental conservation and its impact on human well-being.
“I want to use this platform to educate students and the world about the importance of environmental conservation and its impact on human well-being,” Akpan stated.
If successful, Akpan’s achievement will establish a new global benchmark for marathon lectures and solidify Nigeria’s presence in the Guinness World Records.
