Nigerian Ports Authority Launches Coordination Initiative for Crude Oil Sales to Dangote Refinery

The Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, announced on Thursday that the NPA has begun implementing the Federal Government’s directive to coordinate service provision from all regulatory and security agencies, aimed at facilitating the sale of crude oil and petroleum products to the Dangote Refinery in Naira.During an inter-agency stakeholders meeting on the One-Stop-Shop (OSS) at the NPA headquarters in Lagos, Dr. Dantsoho highlighted the NPA’s readiness to ensure the availability of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly referred to as petrol, across the nation.“We are poised to collaborate and provide the efficiencies necessary to deliver on this national imperative of ensuring the availability of PMS and other petroleum products,” he stated. Additionally, he noted that a one-stop shop is being established to coordinate service provision from all regulatory and security agencies and other stakeholders, ensuring smooth implementation of this initiative.

This initiative is in line with the presidential directive to have the One-Stop-Shop located at the Nigerian Ports Authority, aimed at streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency within the petroleum sector. The OSS team comprises representatives from key stakeholders, including the NPA, Nigerian Navy, NNPC Limited, Dangote Group, Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), and Nigerian Maritime Administration & Safety Agency (NIMASA).
