The Ondo State Government has begun disbursing N220 million in soft loans to artisans and micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) owners. This initiative aims to boost small-scale businesses and enhance the state’s economy.
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, represented by Deputy Governor Dr. Olayide Adelami, presented checks to beneficiaries in Akure, emphasizing the importance of artisans in driving economic growth.
The loan scheme is part of the state government’s broader strategy to address economic challenges. Beneficiaries are urged to repay the loans promptly, as this will enable the government to expand the program’s scope.
The initiative is complemented by other state government programs, including the Agriculture and Food Security Programme and Business Stimulation Components. These efforts demonstrate the administration’s commitment to uplifting the people and improving the state’s economy.
By supporting MSMEs, the Ondo State Government is aligning with national efforts to promote entrepreneurship and economic development.
