Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has been embroiled in a controversy following an alleged altercation with a journalist outside a nightclub in Istanbul. According to Turkish media outlet Posta, Osimhen allegedly assaulted a journalist, Tolga Bozduman, as he exited the venue with friends.
Bozduman recounted the altercation, stating that Osimhen became furious when he was approached by the reporter. “He rushed towards me, shouting, and attempted to grab my camera. When I refused to let go, he punched me. It still hurts. Then he started swearing and said, ‘Destroy the photos, I’ll give you money.’ I refused, and he threatened me, saying, ‘I’ll destroy you.'”
Neither Galatasaray nor Osimhen has released an official statement addressing the incident. Osimhen has been in impressive form for Galatasaray, scoring 15 goals and providing six assists this season.
