The Oyo State Police Command has arrested two suspects, Ridukun Bello and Fuku Adeleke, in connection with the possession of human parts. The suspects were apprehended after a search was conducted at Bello’s residence in the Muslim area of Ibadah, where a female human torso, severed limbs, and dried bones were found.

According to Bello’s confession, he exhumed the corpse from a cemetery in Awa-Ijebu, Ogun State, and sold the body parts to ritualists. Further investigation led to the arrest of Adeleke, who admitted to purchasing human body parts from Bello for ritual purposes.

The case has been transferred to the Homican Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation. The police command has urged cemetery managers to increase surveillance and prevent further incidents of corpse exhumation by ritualists.
