The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) crisis has taken a dramatic turn with a faction of the National Working Committee (NWC) suspending Acting National Chairman Amb. Umar Damagum and appointing Yayari Ahmed Mohammed, the party’s Treasurer, as his replacement ¹. This decision was made pursuant to the PDP’s constitution, as amended in 2017.
