Chief Olabode George, a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has sounded a warning that the party is heading for disaster in 2027 unless it takes drastic measures to unite and discipline its members. George, a former Deputy National Chairman of the PDP, made this remark at a news conference in Lagos, where he reacted to the party’s lingering national leadership crisis.

According to George, the PDP’s current situation is a result of a self-inflicted crisis, and the party must bury individual ambitions to avoid crumbling. He emphasized the need for unity, equity, fairness, and justice in the party’s decision-making processes. George also condemned the invasion of the party’s national secretariat by thugs, describing it as “despicable, horrific, inhuman, wicked, and unheard of”.

Furthermore, George called on President Bola Tinubu to implement sustainable policies to alleviate the suffering of Nigerians, who are currently angry and hungry due to economic policies. He stressed that 2025 is crucial in turning around the country’s fortunes and making Nigerians safe and secure.

In addition, George warned about the emergence of a new world order with the rise of far-right ideologies globally, citing the example of Donald Trump’s presidency in the United States. He cautioned that this development could lead to dangerous conflicts if not handled carefully.
