PDP Suspends Dino Melaye Over Anti-Party Activities

The Kogi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended former Senator Dino Melaye from the party due to alleged anti-party activities. Melaye, a former governorship candidate, was suspended by the PDP executive committee in Ayetoro Gbede, Ward 1, after he failed to attend a disciplinary committee meeting to address misconduct allegations.

The suspension, effective immediately, was made in accordance with Article 59(1) of the PDP Constitution, which authorizes the Ward Party Exco to take disciplinary action against members who violate party rules. The PDP executive committee stated that Melaye’s actions brought embarrassment and disrepute to the party, making his continued membership untenable.
