The Rivers State Police Command has arrested five suspected kidnappers in connection with the abduction and murder of 34-year-old Rowland Horsefall. The suspects, who were apprehended on November 3, 2024, allegedly demanded and received a ransom of ₦300,000 from the victim’s family, but still killed him.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Grace Iringe-Koko, the suspects confessed to the crime, revealing that they abducted Horsefall on September 10, 2024, and demanded the ransom. Despite receiving the payment, they beat the victim to death and dumped his body along Queens/Kings Bakery, Abuloma road, Port Harcourt.
The arrested suspects include:
- Endurance Friday Thompson, 23 years old
- Boma Otonye, 41 years old, also known as Excess Chief
- David Link Ishaku, 34 years old, also known as Biggy
- Moses Nsikak Benjamin, 29 years old, also known as Aboy
- Emmanuel Aniete, 32 years old
All the suspects have confessed to the crime.
