OSOGBO—A shocking incident has shaken Ilusi village in Osun State, as a son allegedly beheaded his father, Baale, on their farm. The police have arrested the suspect, Saudi, and are investigating the gruesome murder.
According to eyewitnesses, Baale went missing on Thursday after leaving for the farm. A search party found his headless body the next day, covered with palm leaves. The deceased’s motorcycle and cocoa harvest were discovered beside the body.
The search team, comprised of village youths, suspected Saudi and questioned him. After some torture, he confessed to the crime and was handed over to the police.
Osun police spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident and stated that the suspect is in police custody for further investigation.
