The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has charged Okoro Blessing, also known as Blessing CEO, with fraud amounting to N69.15 million before a Lagos Special Offences Court.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has charged Okoro Blessing, also known as Blessing CEO, with fraud amounting to N69.15 million before a Lagos Special Offences Court. The anti-graft agency announced on Tuesday that the influencer had been arraigned before Justice R.A. Oshodi of the Special Offences Court in Ikeja, Lagos, facing a new two-count accusation of collecting money under false pretenses and theft.

During the proceedings, prosecution counsel C.C. Okezie urged the court to move forward with the arraignment, claiming that the defendant had been properly served with the charges. Nkama Nneka, the defence counsel, maintained that the service was very recently carried out. After hearing both representations, Justice Oshodi determined that the arraignment should proceed in accordance with legal procedures. The charges were then read to the defendant, signaling the start of trial proceedings.

The case adds to Blessing CEO’s ongoing legal troubles, as his social media antics have repeatedly received public attention and controversy.
