President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed the Federal Government's commitment to defeating insecurity and securing the release of all captives, as well as easing economic hardship, during a Democracy Day church service.

President Bola Tinubu, represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, reiterated the government's resolve to overcome insecurity and secure the freedom of all individuals held captive across the country. Speaking on Sunday during the National Inter-Denominational Church Service at the National Christian Centre in Abuja, Tinubu also assured Nigerians that his administration would step up efforts to alleviate the economic difficulties faced by citizens.

Akume, who delivered the President's message, congratulated Nigerians on 27 years of uninterrupted democratic rule since 1999, calling the achievement a testament to the resilience, commitment, and sacrifices of those who fought for the restoration of democracy.
