Prophet Samuel Adebayo Ojo, also known as Baba Authority, has described the recent tragic stampedes during palliative distribution in Nigeria as a reflection of the nation’s dire socioeconomic challenges. However, he offered a message of hope, declaring that “God has intervened” and a new season of restoration is imminent.
Prophet Ojo expressed deep concern over the loss of lives in several states due to overcrowding and poor management during palliative distribution. He noted that these incidents underscore the urgent need for both spiritual and practical solutions to address the suffering of millions of Nigerians.
“Nigeria is bleeding,” Prophet Ojo said. “These stampedes are not just accidents; they are signs of a deeper crisis—a nation grappling with poverty, inequality, and mismanagement. The cries of the people have reached God’s ears.”
Despite the bleak circumstances, Prophet Ojo assured his congregation and Nigerians at large that divine intervention is already underway. He urged the people to hold on to faith and remain prayerful.
“God has heard the cries of His people and has intervened. This intervention will bring about restoration, healing, and a turnaround for Nigeria. We must trust in His timing and continue to act in unity,” he said.
Prophet Ojo also called on government officials, religious leaders, and civil society to take immediate steps to prevent further tragedies. He emphasized the need for better planning, transparency, and compassion in addressing the needs of vulnerable Nigerians.
