    Festac Town residents in Lagos State are calling on the Minister of Power, Mr. Adebayo Adelabu, and Eko Distribution Company (EkoDisco) to address the community’s power supply issues. The residents claim that despite being placed on Band B, they don’t receive up to five hours of electricity daily .

    Residents like Mr. Felix Ajayi, an artisan, and Ugochukwu Anyanwun, a resident of 23 Road, expressed their frustration with the power situation, stating that it has worsened since President Bola Tinubu took office. They also pointed out that businesses are struggling due to the lack of power supply .

    The residents are also urging the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) to intervene and stop EkoDisco from exploiting them. Chief Odike Ubandinuju, a pensioner and resident, shared his experience of being directed to different offices when he complained about the issue .

    In response to the allegations, the corporate communications officer of EkoDisco, Mr. Babatunde Lazaki, claimed that he was not aware of the complaints .
