Ritual Murder of Kwara Student: Police Recover Incriminating Items

- Police recovered a horn, black soap, and charms from the suspect's apartment.
- The items suggest that Yetunde Lawal, a final-year student, was murdered for ritual purposes.


The father of the deceased, Alhaji Ibrahim Lawal, revealed that the recovered items clearly indicate that his daughter was killed for ritual purposes. The Police arrested the suspect, Abdulrahman Mohammed Bello, a Facebook friend of the victim, who allegedly murdered her in his rented apartment in Olunlade area, Ilorin South local government area of Kwara state.

The victim, a 29-year-old Chemistry and Integrated Science student, was allegedly called by the suspect while attending a naming ceremony. Her body was found in the suspect’s apartment, and he initially claimed she died of asthma before confessing to the murder.
