SEDC: Igbo will give Tinubu over 70 percent vote in 2027 – Deputy Speaker Kalu

The Deputy Speaker made these remarks during a grand reception organized in his honor by the Atuma Grace Movement in Abia State. Kalu praised President Tinubu for signing the SEDC bill into law, despite skepticism, and for funding the commission. He also conferred a chieftaincy title, Dike Eji Aga Mba (The People’s Warrior), was given to him by King Larry, the traditional ruler of Ntalakwu ancient kingdom.

Kalu criticized alleged attempts by state authorities to prevent traditional rulers from engaging with federal officials, calling such restrictions undemocratic. He emphasized the importance of leadership and development, particularly after elections. The event also featured the welcome of several high-profile defectors to the APC, who were praised for their decision to join the ruling party.
