Six Killed in Kogi State Road Accident

A tragic road accident occurred in Kogi State’s Adavi Local Government Area, resulting in the deaths of six people and injuring five others. The accident involved seven vehicles, including a truck that lost control while navigating the Okunchi hill and crashed into other vehicles.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed the incident, stating that their rescue team responded promptly to the scene. The injured were rushed to the Referral Hospital in Okene for medical attention, while the deceased were taken to the mortuary of the Okene General Hospital.

The FRSC attributed the accident to the truck’s brake failure and urged motorists to adhere to traffic rules and regulations to prevent similar incidents in the future. The agency also commended the efforts of their personnel and other security agencies for working together to clear the gridlock and restore traffic flow on the highway.
