Soldiers from the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Barracks in Ohafia, Abia State, successfully fought off an attack by gunmen targeting police and military checkpoints. The attackers, suspected IPOB members seeking weapons, were overpowered by the soldiers’ superior firepower and fled into the bush. One soldier was injured and is receiving medical treatment.
