Former Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung, has strongly criticized the current Minister of Power for his poor management of the power sector.
According to a report by the Nigerian Tribune. Dalung argued that the minister’s affiliation with the ‘Emi Lokan’ group, which supported President Tinubu’s candidacy, has shielded him from facing consequences for his failures and shortcomings.
Dalung highlighted the minister’s role in the frequent national grid collapses, which have plagued the country during his tenure.
He also pointed out the minister’s decision to increase electricity tariffs, a move that Dalung believes has had a detrimental impact on small and medium-sized industries, ultimately undermining the economy.
“The Minister of Power, who recorded the highest number of national grid collapses, is adequately compensated because he belongs to the ‘Emi Lokan’ brigade. He has no business there.
The man completely cannot handle the power sector.
