Speed Darlington, whose real name is Darlington Okoye, is finally out on bail after spending five days in police custody. He was arrested in Lagos last Friday and then transferred to Abuja, where he was detained .
According to Deji Adeyanju, a human rights lawyer, Speed Darlington’s arrest was due to a petition filed by fellow musician Burna Boy, alleging cyberstalking. However, Adeyanju noted that after reviewing the petition, he didn’t see anything that warranted Speed Darlington’s arrest .
After meeting the bail conditions set by the police, Speed Darlington was released to his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, on Tuesday evening.
