Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun has advised Nigerians to refrain from reporting police misconduct on social media and instead direct their complaints to the Police Complaints Response Unit ¹. Speaking at the PPROs/Police Communication Experts’ Conference in Asaba, Delta State, Egbetokun emphasized that social media reports often lead to misinformation and undermine the police force’s integrity.
