    The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced a planned power outage in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) from January 6 to 20, 2025. This is due to the relocation of eight 132kV and 33kV towers along the Kukwaba/Apo 132kV line, which is part of the road dualisation project along the Apo axis .

    The power outage will affect several areas, including:

    • Affected Areas: Kubwa, Karu, Maraba, Nyanya, Masaka, Keffi, Kukwaba, and Apo Mechanic
    • Partially Affected Areas: parts of Lugbe, Trademore Estate, Pyakasa, Sabon Lugbe Chika, and the Alaita axis

    The outage will occur daily from 9 am to 4 pm, and TCN apologizes for the inconvenience this will cause. They assure that power supply will be restored as soon as the towers relocation and cable stringing are completed .
