    The Obidient Movement is threatening nationwide protests over the arrest of human rights lawyer and activist, Barr. Dele Farotimi. Farotimi was reportedly arrested on the orders of a magistrate court over allegations of defaming Chief Afe Babalola, SAN .

    The movement, which comprises supporters of Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has condemned the arrest as an abuse of power aimed at silencing dissent. They’re demanding Farotimi’s immediate release and warning of public protests if he’s not freed .
