Tinubu appoints MKO Abiola’s son, Jamiu, senior aide on Linguistics & Foreign Matters

    President Bola Tinubu has appointed Jami’u Abiola, son of the late Chief MKO Abiola, as his Senior Special Assistant on Linguistics and Foreign Matters. This appointment takes effect from November 14, 2024, and is in line with the Certain Political and Judicial Office Holders Act 2008 .

    Jami’u Abiola is a polyglot, fluent in multiple languages, including Arabic, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Yoruba, Hausa, Japanese, Igbo, Fulani, and Kanuri . He previously served as the Special Assistant to the President on Special Duties in the Office of the Vice President.

    In his new role, Abiola will work closely with the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs to enhance Nigeria’s diplomatic engagements. His linguistic skills are expected to play a crucial role in facilitating communication and fostering international relations .
