    According to community leader Oladiti Awodiran, men in police uniform invaded the community, leading to the death of at least four youths and injuring several others . However, the police claim that their operatives were ambushed by youths in the town, resulting in seven injured officers.

    The Osun police command spokesperson, CSP Yemisi Opalola, stated that the police were deployed to restore peace, but were met with resistance from the community. The Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, has assured that security agencies have been drafted to the area to restore peace and that justice will be served to those affected.
