According to a passenger who spoke anonymously, the incident occurred after they had unfastened their seatbelts. The passenger described the plane losing pressure and dropping, causing a sharp descent. The passenger reported hitting their head on the ceiling and becoming unconscious, but was attended to by a medical team member.
The pilot initially announced that the plane would land in Ghana, but it eventually landed safely back in Lagos. First responders met the aircraft to address reports of minor injuries to several passengers and crew.
