The Vice-Chancellor of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike (MOUAU), Professor Maduebibisi Offor Iwe, has issued a stern warning to students against engaging in promiscuity, prostitution, cultism, and other social vices. This warning was given during the 31st matriculation ceremony of the university, where 4,781 students were admitted into various academic programs.

Professor Iwe emphasized that the university management has zero tolerance for unethical behavior and will not hesitate to impose sanctions on students who engage in indecent dressing or other anti-social behaviors. He encouraged students to be well-behaved, take their studies seriously, and justify the spending on them by their sponsors.

The university has made significant progress in transforming into a digital and electronic institution under Professor Iwe’s leadership. He advised eligible students to apply for student loans from the Federal Government to ease the financial burden on their parents and sponsors.
