The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the death of 51-year-old Sunday Abidoye, a US-based Nigerian who was found dead in his hotel room at Creestar Hotel, GRA, Sagamu. According to the police, nine different drugs and medications were recovered from Abidoye’s hotel room.

Abidoye’s friend, Ogunmonti Ogunwole, revealed that he had accompanied Abidoye to purchase the medications due to complaints of illness. The police also stated that Abidoye’s brother, Jimoh Godday, had reported the incident after discovering his brother’s lifeless body in the hotel room.

The body has been evacuated to OOUTH morgue in Sagamu for an autopsy, and the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation.
