Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has revealed why he refused to present his Certificate of Return to APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje. According to Aiyedatiwa, the honour should first go to President Bola Tinubu before the National Working Committee (NWC).
Aiyedatiwa explained that his decision was not a sign of disrespect, but rather a matter of protocol. He stated that he was supposed to present the certificate to President Tinubu first, but since the President was not in town, he couldn’t do so.
Despite this, Aiyedatiwa acknowledged Ganduje’s leadership and the party’s success under his chairmanship. He noted that since Ganduje took over as chairman, the party has not lost any election.
