A tragic incident has occurred in Ipokia, Ogun State, where a 65-year-old woman, Oladega Morenike, was allegedly pushed to her death by her neighbour, Abigail Bankole. The altercation happened on Thursday around 4.20pm during a fight between the two women at Isunba Street in Ipokia.
According to the police, Bankole allegedly pushed Morenike, causing her to hit her head against a wall and collapse. The spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, SP Omolola Odutola, disclosed the incident in a statement on Saturday.
The suspect fled the scene immediately after the incident and remains at large. Odutola confirmed that efforts are ongoing to apprehend her. “Preliminary investigations are ongoing, and the case will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Abeokuta for further investigation,” she said.
